iTakeout, the online takeout ordering service, has relaunched with a redesigned interface courtesy of myself. Based in Portsmouth, iTakeout have expanded rapidly in 2010 to provide online takeout ordering to major towns and cities across the UK.
The brief called for an extension of the existing branding to incorporate a more varied colour palette based around the lime green of the previous site. The key to success would be pairing a visually enriching user experience with a highly functional yet intuitive site.
Takeout just got easier
One of iTakeout’s strong selling points is its ease of use, a feature for which many of its competitors score poorly. With some room for improvement though the new design had to focus heavily on usability wrapped up in a mouth-watering design. A series of Adobe Photoshop templates, HTML and CSS were delivered with iTakeout developers carrying out the PHP integration and JavaScript goodness.
Early sales figures for the first month are looking really promising with a considerable jump in orders. The new iTakeout site is now live at www.itakeout.co.uk.
